Grave Secrets: Tales of the Nubians is an exhibition of bone specimens and artefacts excavated during the Archaeological Survey of Nubia (1907-1911), revealing the lives of the inhabitants of ancient Nubia, Egypt’s southern neighbour. As part of this exhibition but also to get ready for the new Ancient Worlds galleries, there is an exhibition talk and Afterhours in January. Read on for more details.

The Story behind the Grave Secrets exhibition. Learn how archaeological excavations and modern scientific techniques are helping to reveal more about the lives of the ancient Nubians.

Afterhours

Arabic music and dance, torchlight tours of the Egyptian galleries and mini-mummy talks are some of the activities of the Museum’s Afterhours exploring Ancient Worlds.
