Bloodhounds, Borzoi and Amanzonian seeds

January 25, 2013

Thank you to all the Dogs who braved the cold to be the centre of attention at After Hours Breed last night in the museum.

Tomorrow, Sat 26 Jan is Big Sat Rainforests. The whole event last from 11am to 4pm with live frogs, insects and Amazonian musicians.

If seeds are your thing, at 12noon there is a talk, Travelling seeds of the Amazon. Why are seeds important? The humble seed is key to the rich biodiversity found in the world’s largest rainforest, the Amazon. Learn about seed dispersal through animals, why it is important to the ecosystem and how communities that live there can earn their livelihood though craft while using materials from the rainforest that are sustainable.
