Join us to practise your English speaking and listening skills. It’s a free English conversation class for anyone wanting to improve their English.

No need to book, just turn up! Please meet at the gallery/museum information point. People are welcome to attend as many sessions as they would like.

Here’s some feedback from the last English Corner…

” I learned so much today. In this experience I’ve talked with new people and understood everything so I’m happy! The teacher spoke slowly so its not difficult for me. I will return next time I’m sure!".

We also have an extra event this month called ‘One Thing’ linked to Refugee Week, taking place at Manchester Art Gallery on Wednesday 21 May between 10-12.30 p.m.
Artists Emily and Anna will be leading a workshop in the Gallery where people can take photos of their treasured objects and also create an embroidery. The photos and embroidery will then be exhibited as part of an exhibition at the People’s History Museum in June. If you would like to take part in the workshop, please call or email Ruth on 0161 235 8877 or email r.edson

Please note, We welcome groups for all events but you must book. If you’d like to come to English Corner as a group, please contact me to book a slot. We allow one group of up to 10 learners to attend each session. Individual learners are very welcome to all sessions.
